Nuit Blanche

A few pics from the weekend in Toronto for Nuit Blanche....the novelty may be wearing off after 5 years, but it's worth it for those few gems you stumble upon.

Well it was more like one big giant gem...thank you Daniel Lanois!

Stupid Northern Kids

...remembering the abandoned mineshaft building I climbed many moons ago with 5 other friends... I suppose we're all lucky to be alive.

Okay, so it wasn't this mineshaft building in particular, but this one was in my siteline during my cousin's wedding reception (June 26/2010).

House in Tilting, Fogo Island

These photographs are from a series titled "Whispering Walls". Old abandoned houses such as this one shelter over a century's worth of lingering memories and stories, becoming itself a sort of museum with its collection of remaining artefacts.

This house has since been taken over by a Heritage organization and is being renovated and restored. Sad, but good.

Drive-by Shooting....

...on my way to Northern Ontario...

...something I like to do for fun...it's not always easy to get a good shot from a 110km/hr moving car (give or take 10-20km/hr depending on who's driving).
